Itinerary option
Day 1: Arrival day
Transfer from the airport to Avignon and embark on the cruise ship.
Day 2: Les Baux-de-Provence
Your walk meanders through the heart of Provence and oak studded limestone cliffs surround you as you approach the very particular village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Perched atop a rocky outcrop, you will visit castle ruins and village houses carved directly into the rock.
Day 3: Avignon and Pont du Gard
Visit Avignon, the famous city of popes as well as the inspiration behind the children’s song, “Sur le Pont d’Avignon”.
Day 4: Wine tasting in Cousignac
Walk through the fertile wine-growing region to the town of Venejan, where you will be introduced to the local wine making process.
Day 5: Vienne & Lyon
Visit Vienne where Roman monuments are scattered seemingly everywhere around its streets. Sail along vineyards and fruit orchards to Lyon.
Day 6: Cluny
Take a short walk in direction of the very attractive village of Cluny. Thanks to the Benedictine Abbey there, Cluny has gained international renown dating back to the Middle Ages, spreading its influence across Europe.
Day 7: Beaune & Pommard
On today’s wine trail “Chemin des Grands Crus” (or, “trail of exceptional wines”) you will walk from Beaune to Pommard through the beautiful countryside.
Day 8: Departure day
Disembark from the cruise ship and transfer to the airport.
