On this hiking adventure through the Northwest you get to know the ancient magical landscapes that Ireland is famous for. Our trip takes us through stunning nature over breathtaking steep cliffs to our destination city of Galway.

Itinerary option

Day 1: Arrival day

Arrive in Ireland and transfer to Letterkenny.

Day 2: Glenveagh National Park

Hike through the national park and visit Glenveagh Castle and its gardens.

Day 3: Horn Head

With glorious views across Sheephaven Bay & Tory Island, you will enjoy a lovely coastal walk around Horn Head along impressive cliff trails.

Day 4: Slieve League Cliffs

On this day, you will visit the highest sea cliffs in Europe: the Slieve League in Teelin – a dramatic and unforgettable sight to behold.

Day 5: Table Mountain Benbulben & Sligo

Learn about Sligo County’s majestic Table Mountain Benbulben. Visit the city of Sligo, the largest city in the rural northwest of the island.

Day 6: Connemara

Explore the western-facing district of Connemara where you will walk along the Killary Harbour, a 16 kilometer (10 mile) long fjord, which is known for its fish and shellfish farming.

Day 7: Galway City

Explore the bohemian, cultural city of Galway on the west coast of the country. In the center of the town lies Eyre Square, built in the 18th century. Around the popular meeting place there are shops and traditional pubs where traditional Irish music is often played.

Day 8: Aran Islands

On these craggy islands, explore the prehistoric forts and 900 meter (3,000 foot) long hand-built stone walls. You can still hear Gaelic being spoken here… as you enjoy a walk through the primitive and magical landscape.

Day 9: Departure day

Transfer to the airport.
